The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), with more than 29,900 members, is one of the largest student-governed organizations in the country. Founded in 1975, NSBE now includes more than 394 College, Pre-College, and Technical Professional/Alumni chapters in the United States and abroad. NSBE’s mission is "to increase the number of culturally responsible black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community."
We want our members to exceed academically by enhancing the educational skillset of each and every member
NSBE looks to empower its chapters in order to become stronger as a whole
Temple NSBE is part of Region 2, and more specifically the Danger Zone.
Not only does our region seek the academic excellence of our collegiate members, but our NSBE Jr. members as well. We seek to help every high school associated with NSBE.
Chapter Empowerment Within the region, collaboration between chapters is much easier. By empowering our NSBE chapters and working together as a single organization, more can be accomplished.
Our chapter seeks to epitomize the mission
In order epitomize the mission we must know and internalize the mission. We will provide members with opportunities to learn about and thoroughly come to an understanding of NSBE's mission statement.
Finally, we have to live the mission. We allow members to do this by hoting meetings, attending NSBE conferences, organizing community events, and having regular study nights.

Joining NSBE is a huge benefit for anyone in the engineering field. Members are able to make lasting connections with top companies, have a group of students around them to help them exceed academically and professionally and will have opportunities to help the Philadelphia community.
We want our members to exceed academically by enhancing the educational skillset of each and every member. NSBE looks to empower its chapters in order to become stronger as a whole Registering nationally will give members access to even more events, such as the amazing National Conference that occurs once every spring and has been in cities all over the country such as Boston, Anaheim, and Nashville.
All of our members should first register nationally for NSBE on nsbe.org. National dues for students are $15 annually
After registering nationally, members should then register with our chapter by filling out this application, printing it out, and delivering it to our office in the College of Engineering's 2nd Floor. Our chapter dues are $10 annually.
